This course covers fundamental theory, troubleshooting, and maintenance
of marine engines and related equipment, especially outboards.
Emphasis is placed on maintenance and operational procedures,
including corrosion control, lubrication, propellers, carburetors,
two-cycle theory, magneto ignition, batteries, starters, alternators,
and trailers. Upon completion, students should be able to understand
how a marine engine and related components work, perform minor
repairs, and properly maintain them.
