At A Glance Film Reviews - quick reference guide to what's good and what's not in the movie world. Films of every genre and era are represented here. The many and varied index pages listed below give you ratings for the movies, many with links to capsule reviews.
Based on a Book - 'Based on the Book' is a compilation of over 1,200 books, novels, short stories, and plays that have been made into motion pictures. Utilizing the Internet Movie Database as the authority, all movies in this collection have been released as feature-length films in the United States, in English, since 1980.
BOXOFFICE Online - Contains reviews of the latest releases and news about and previews of films in the works. A section called "Classic Reviews" includes critiques of 75 classic titles spanning the decades from 1931's "City Lights" to 1993's "Jurassic Park." A "Review Archive" contains reviews for more than 900 films released since 1995. BOXOFFICE Online is a good source for very current reviews, interviews, and articles covering the film industry.

Hollywood Foreign Press Association and Golden Globes Awards - This is the official web site of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and the Golden Globe Awards. The site contains news, history, video, photographs and Golden Globe trivia.

HollywoodReporter.com is an award-winning website offering complete coverage of the film industry as well as robust tools and features that can help your decision-making. Visit our site as entertainment's most esteemed critics provide movie reviews of the latest releases, documentaries, independent and international films, and festival circuit entries. We also feature ticket tallies, financials and other important box office news.
Internet Movie Database - IMDB includes more than 100,000 domestic and foreign films of all genres that date back as far as 1892. Listings contain movie credits and plot summaries. Many listings link to reviews. Search for a movie by title, year, or genre. IMDB also contains more than 1.5 million filmographies and biographies of persons involved at all levels of movie-making. The database offers many other features.

Motion Picture Association of America - Find information about the MPAA, the history and explanation of the movie ratings system used in the United States and related issues here. The site includes a searchable database to find the rating of a specific movie.

Movie Review Query Engine - A searchable database of web pages offering over 380,000 reviews available for over 38,000 film titles. This is a good resource for Film Study researchers.
Sense of Cinema - An online journal devoted to the serious and eclectic discussion of cinema.
Silent Era -- The present site offers listings and information about films released between 1888 and 1929. One can search for people under both People of the Silent Era (actors, actresses, directors, cinematographers, executives, writers) and People Who Keep the Silent Era Alive (archivists/restoration specialists, composers/musicians, filmmakers, writers). The core of the site is Film List, which includes a cumulative alphabetical listing and is accessible through indexes, production companies, and filmographies (the latter two are works in progress and were incomplete when this reviewer visited). The indexes include color, cinematography, early sound, large format, silent serials, and stereoscopic.
