Cape Fear Community College

Student Computing

Cape Fear Community College, and IT Services provide an array of different computing services. From fully wired computer classrooms, and labs, to SurfCFCC (CFCC's wireless network), CFCC is dedicated to enhancing our students' educational experience by providing access to the latest technologies and services. Below are a list of Student Computing Services provided, and where to find information on each.

IT Services has also compiled a list of resources that are useful for your home computer, or laptop.

CampusCruiser - CFCC's web portal, which provides students with an email address, personal calendars, web pages, and access to information about their classes. Some instructors may choose to place materials online to supplement their face-to-face classes.

Blackboard - Blackboard is CFCC's course management system used for online (Distance Learning), hybrid, and web enhanced classes. Students will only have Blackboard accounts if they are enrolled in online or hybrid classes, or if their instructor has requested the class be web enhanced.

SurfCFCC - CFCC's wireless network with hotspot locations on both our Main Campus, and North Campus.

iTunes U - Allows teachers to upload podcasts, and other course materials. Students are then able to logon using their CFCC User ID and Password, and download media via Apple's iTunes software.
