There is no set deadline by which a student or parent must apply for a Federal Stafford or PLUS Loan. However, loan funds must be received at CFCC before the student's last day of class in the current semester.
We cannot guarantee that loan applications received after November 15 for the Fall semester and April 1 for the Spring semester will be processed in time for the borrower to be eligible to receive the funds.
APPLY EARLY!
Students must be enrolled at least half-time (6 or more credit hours each semester) to qualify for a Stafford (student) or PLUS (parent) loan. Both campuses offer loan certification.
