Calculating Grade Point Average (GPA):

Take the number of credit hours assigned to each registered class and multiply them by the value of the grade earned (A = 4pts, B = 3pts, C = 2pts, D = 1 pt, F, W, WP, WF = 0 pts). Then calculate the number of cumulative credit hours attempted and divide that by the number of cumulative credit hours completed.

Example 1:

Student A is registered for 12 credit hours and passed all three classes.
