Basic Sewing Classes Beginning in June 2008

Basic Sewing, June 2 - July 9, Monday & Wednesday nights, 6-8 p.m.

Basic Sewing, June 7 - July 26, Saturday mornings,  9 a.m.-12 p.m.

Fee for each class is $60 payable at first class.  Both classes held in the MLK Center on the corner of Ann & 8th Streets.  Supplies not needed at first class.  To reserve a seat, call 362-7189.

Aviation Ground School - June 2 to Aug. 6

Aviation Ground School will begin June 2 through August 6.  Class will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-10 p.m. in room NB-233 at the North Campus, 4500 Blue Clay Road, Castle Hayne.  The fee is $60 payable at the first night of class.

Limited Electrical Contractor Exam Prep Class, 6/7-6/15

The Limited Electrical Contractor Exam Prep class prepares students to take the NC Limited Electrical Contractor Licensing Exam.  This class will be held on the North Campus in room NB-232 on Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning June 7 and ending June 15.  The cost for this 32-hour class is $60+ book.  Pre-registration is required.  For more information or to reserve a seat, call 362-7319.

2008 NEC Code Changes Class, 5/31-6/1

Learn the 2008 NEC from a pro.  Our instructor is an Electrical Inspector with New Hanover County.  This course meets the requirements of the NC State Board of Examiners of Electrical Contractors for 16 contact hours of continuing education credit.  Class will be held on the main campus in room S-501, Saturday, May 31 and Sunday, June 1 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Cost is $55+ book.  Pre-registration is required.  For more information or to reserve a seat, call 362-7319.

Electrical Journeyman Test Prep Class, 5/20-6/26

Comedy Improv Class 5/19-7/14

Concealed Handgun Class - June 14 & 21, 2008

Boating Skills & Seamanship Class Begins June 2

US Coast Guard Auxiliary 10-06 (Wilmington) will offer an 8 Lesson course beginning Monday, June 2 and concluding on Monday, June 30.  The cost of the course is $35 which includes text & workbook.

The course meets from 7pm to 9pm Mondays & Wednesdays at Cape Fear Community College, Downtown campus.

Sessions will cover selecting a boat, basic rules on the water, boat handling, marlinespike, weather, radio, trailers, navigational aids, legal considerations,  health & safety concerns, equipping your watercraft, and more.

Upon successful completion of this course, you may be eligible for a marine insurance discount.
