Troubleshooting

The most common problems that will keep your wireless card from connecting to SurfCFCC wireless network are:

Out of Range:  The wireless card may be too far from an access point to make the connection.  Try moving to a different location.  See SurfCFCC Hot Spots.

Wireless card not seated properly:  Make sure that the wireless card in your laptop is inserted all the way into the slot.  You may have to press firmly.

If you have checked all the above and the card still is not working, the cause could be a software problem with the driver, a hardware problem with the wireless device, or a conflict with another hardware device.  Consult the troubleshooting information provided by the card’s manufacturer.
